Heather Birnie Photography

My name is Heather Birnie and I run Heather Birnie Photography. I was formerly half of the live music photography group 'Prototype Photography' but I have decided to branch off in my own direction.

I am most practiced in live music portraits after 3 years of shows, but I enjoy any challenge thrown at me, and I promise to return the shot with a spin. I have practice in portraits, proms and parties, architecture and nature. Please visit my galleries to see my previous works in these areas. I hope that you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed making them.

I currently take photographs and write music reviews for Art and Soul Magazine. I have had published work with the magazine over the past 2 years, which can be found in my galleries.

I placed 2nd in the national stages of the Rotary Club's Young Photographer of the Year 2009, and my photograph was featured in various newspapers, magazines and conferences. Subject to this I was commissioned to take photographs at Strawberry Fair 2009 in the Future Stage tent. The photographs were then sent to the BBC.
